“As you journey through this space, it’s my voice guiding you, like a steady current beneath the surface, narrating the stories of my people. Here, wisdom unfolds as lived experiences — yours, mine, and the ones yet to be written.”

Nestled in the quiet bylanes of Delhi University stood Gandhi Bhawan, home to the university’s naturopathy department. It was here, in 1990, that my grandmother, an assistant yoga teacher at the department, initiated me into the sacred lineage of yoga. Thereafter, my mother, a storyteller and teacher of Hatha yoga, further cultivated this legacy and ensured a foundation of spiritual studies in the lives of her three children.
Feverishly self-studying and mentoring under teachers of ayurveda, yoga philosophy, elemental anatomy and psychotherapy, I often found myself confronting emotional boundaries and my quest for balance peaked during my early 30s.
While seeking a sense of significance, I met Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati at the Bihar School of Yoga, Munger Ashram. Fascinated by the distinct yet inseparable nature of the mind and body, I immersed myself into collaborating ancient yogic practices with transpersonal psychotherapy. In 2014 as Shraddharupa I embraced karma sanyaas, a path to mastering the art of finding happiness in every action that life offers to serve, while remaining free from the attachment to its outcome.
For years, I wandered seeking the fleeting whispers of meaning, only to know there was nothing to seek. Now, standing right in the middle of that winding path, I find myself ready to share the Udgam – Origin of Seeking Yogi. A slow unfolding in time, proving to be worthy of every moment's wait.
With an interdisciplinary approach, I practice and lead traditional yoga abhyaas (practice), meditations from the tantra, yoga vidya (knowledge) and cognitive spiritual coaching at Seeking Yogi.

The Metamorphosis
parivartan

I once believed that her effortless ease wouldn’t complement my obsessive tendencies, but time made me feel differently.
Like a monochromatic pebble surrendering to the flow of a rushing waterfall, she found her sadhana in gati - movement akin to the chariot’s rhythm. A teacher and practitioner of Hatha Vinyasa, an Ayurveda therapist, and the co-founder of Seeking Yogi, Parivartan’s mind serves as a much-needed antidote to mine.
Six years into motherhood, with that role defining her entire existence, someone casually suggested she explore yoga at Jagdish Kaka’s yog shala. Kaka, with his thin legs, prominent belly, sharp gaze, and round glasses, wasn’t a certified yoga teacher. Yet, with 30 years steeped in the essence of yog vidya, childless and dedicated, alongside his equally devoted wife, in a quiet Ahmedabad lane, he held space for a sanctuary of knowledge.
She remembers, “Their gentle encouragement led me to pursue a postgraduate degree in yoga at Gujarat Vidyapith. In 2014, Kaka passed away. Shortly after, his wife dreamt of him instructing her that I must carry forward the teaching of yoga. That dream became my calling.” Parivartan understood that everybody was seeking an answer to happiness.
Over the years I observed a common outcome across all her classes - people left feeling happy.
An Ayurveda diet & lifestyle therapist with years into the practice of Hatha Vinyasa, today at Seeking Yogi she incorporates Ayurveda’s concept of prakruti (an individual’s personality constitution) to the body & mind’s need and search for a perfect momentum - gati.

That's DEVIKA
Our Little Goddess
Devika

I was 6 years old. Everything around me could talk, I was lonely and earnestly prayed for a sakhi (a soul friend). In 1986 Devika and I were introduced by our birth mother. Born to qualities of silence and stability, yet with a desire to be seen, Devika barely spoke.
Like many, I feared mathematics. While my struggle began with how many tens are there in a hundred, Devika decided to excel at the theory of numbers. As a graduate student, she explored abstract mathematics. A branch that weaves a whole new world of truths based on a few assumptions that may not hold any connection to our earthly reality! In hindsight, she feels it was learning the process of unlearning, by living it out in reverse with equations and variables. She says, “when the process of unlearning is internalized, we realize that our patterns, prejudiced judgements, notions and understanding have at their foundation some limiting beliefs that may not be true. And yet, we assertively and insistently defend our faulty present truths, even to ourselves.”
At present, as a quantum physicist and a meditation teacher at Seeking Yogi, Devika, in her personal practice and guided sessions, fosters the unpeeling of a student’s inner world. Allowing the pratyayas (deep rooted impressions) to surface, to finally fill with manahprasad or happiness as a personal gratitude towards existence as a whole.

I have been a runner for the past 9 years. Practicing yoga with Seeking Yogi revealed to me the interconnectedness of the mind and body which is pure and magical. It made me realize how deeply fatigue is stored within us. Now I recommend everybody to slow down for their own sake! Yoga is imperative to any strength training routine

AhmedabadOver the past year, working with cognitive spiritual coaching for personal therapy has been truly transformative. I am not breaking things anymore in anger, I am considerate and realised I must learn to relax at will. Geetika’s ability to seamlessly integrate cognitive behavioral therapy with yoga, kriyas, breathwork, and the science of affirmations has facilitated profound inner change, creating a lasting shift in my life.

(Bombay)Every time is different. I meet myself in different states of mind and learn something entirely new about myself. The beginning was hard - monkey brain is a strong force, but I learn to look at it and communicate, without force. Meditation changed my life, as a person who always looked for the next thrill in life, I found happiness in silence. Devika is an amazingly open minded person, with a heart and a brain that only hindustan can create. My journey with her is eye opening and I find comfort in the insights I discovered.

Shiatsu TherapistGradually, the breath was no longer confined to the nose or chest. It became something larger, something whole, the body as-a-whole was breathing. Sensations surfaced and faded, weaving while breathing through them. The mind softened, no longer analyzing but resting in direct experience. With time, the breath settled into the background, steady and quiet, supporting the stillness of body and mind. Growing more present, a shift occurred, not in thought, but in being. The habitual sense of self loosened, and I felt myself as this vessel—open, permeable, receiving and releasing in quiet balance.

Artist and Art TherapistI walked into Seeking Yogi’s asana practice with much apprehension and no expectations from myself. Parivartan’s unhurried approach to the most intense hatha yoga asanas, alongside Ayurveda therapy, shifted my perception of a healthy lifestyle for good! Everything was so simple and yet profound. My energy levels were high, the bloating reduced leaving me feeling lighter and balanced. I am deeply grateful for her wisdom.
