What’s our Purpose

MANAHPRASAD - Happiness

Your mind is a master storyteller, spinning endless plots—some profound, some absurd—all in a relentless quest for a happy ending. But what if happiness wasn’t a chase, a relentless seeking. Imagine if it could be effortlessly held onto forever.

Happiness, in the teachings of Satyananda Yoga tradition, is sustained through balance, anchoring the mind in awareness, and opening the heart to acceptance. Guided by the teachings of Swami Satyananda Saraswati the Bihar School methodology is to question deeply, and to act mindfully, with happiness as both your compass and your destination.

At Seeking Yogi, the core purpose is Manahprasad – sustenance of happiness, a state to uncover and cultivate.

Yoga is an absolute departure from basic animal
tendencies. Yoga is certainly renunciation of
self-centerdness and exploitation. Yoga is a
state of relationship. Yoga is a culture of tomorrow.

At the center of this wheel is our inner self, the stillness at our core where transformation begins. The six spokes represent the diverse paths of yoga – hatha (bio-energetic discipline), raja (purifying consciousness, dissolving impressions) and kriya (transformation of psychic energy), karma (creative expression in action), bhakti (connecting with purity of emotion) and jnana (purifying the personality). The rim symbolizes a lifestyle grounded in yamas and niyamas (foundational values for a fulfilled life), creating a strong foundation for balance and harmony. What propels this wheel? Happiness – Manahprasad.

At Seeking Yogi we balance dynamic yoga asana sessions and meditative practices resting on yoga vidya – the knowledge that underpins the practice. Through knowledge workshops, mantra chanting and study groups, we illuminate the purpose behind life’s momentum, each movement and every action, fostering an attitude towards one’s practice (abhyaas). We embrace yoga as a way of lifestyle, weaving its principles as a daily rhythm.

Whether you seek physical vitality, mental clarity, or spiritual growth, we provide the tools, guidance, and support to help you turn your wheel of life, with happiness as the biggest form of gratitude.

Welcome to the path of a Seeking Yogi.

Hari Om Tat Sat.

Gradually, the breath was no longer confined to the nose or chest. It became something larger, something whole, the body as-a-whole was breathing. Sensations surfaced and faded, weaving while breathing through them. The mind softened, no longer analyzing but resting in direct experience. With time, the breath settled into the background, steady and quiet, supporting the stillness of body and mind. Growing more present, a shift occurred, not in thought, but in being. The habitual sense of self loosened, and I felt myself as this vessel—open, permeable, receiving and releasing in quiet balance.

Artist and Art Therapist

I walked into Seeking Yogi’s asana practice with much apprehension and no expectations from myself. Parivartan’s unhurried approach to the most intense hatha yoga asanas, alongside Ayurveda therapy, shifted my perception of a healthy lifestyle for good! Everything was so simple and yet profound. My energy levels were high, the bloating reduced leaving me feeling lighter and balanced. I am deeply grateful for her wisdom.

Every time is different. I meet myself in different states of mind and learn something entirely new about myself. The beginning was hard - monkey brain is a strong force, but I learn to look at it and communicate, without force. Meditation changed my life, as a person who always looked for the next thrill in life, I found happiness in silence. Devika is an amazingly open minded person, with a heart and a brain that only hindustan can create. My journey with her is eye opening and I find comfort in the insights I discovered.

Over the past year, working with cognitive spiritual coaching for personal therapy has been truly transformative. I am not breaking things anymore in anger, I am considerate and realised I must learn to relax at will. Geetika’s ability to seamlessly integrate cognitive behavioral therapy with yoga, kriyas, breathwork, and the science of affirmations has facilitated profound inner change, creating a lasting shift in my life.

I have been a runner for the past 9 years. Practicing yoga with Seeking Yogi revealed to me the interconnectedness of the mind and body which is pure and magical. It made me realize how deeply fatigue is stored within us. Now I recommend everybody to slow down for their own sake! Yoga is imperative to any strength training routine
